Groundhogs (山ねずみ, yama nezumi), also called woodchucks, are a species of animal seen in Suikoden II.
Information
These bizarre creatures have multiple eyes and a mouth that can swallow a person whole despite its small size. Millie keeps one such groundhog, Bonaparte as a pet, though they are not naturally fond of people.
Woodchucks often burrowed in fields but were well liked by farmers such as Tony as they were enemies of the moles that ravaged his crops. As such, it was advised to not hit them when engaged in Whack-A-Mole.
