The Thunder Rune (雷鳴の紋章, Raimei no Monshō) is a rune which appears in many games in the Suikoden series.
Information
The Thunder Rune is one of the runes of the five elements, its lower order variant being the Lightning Rune. The magic of this rune is more geared towards powerful lightning attacks against single foes and when applied to a weapon allows the wielder to deal lightning elemental damage.
Grenseal, the "Lightning General" wielded a Thunder Rune during the Gate Rune War. Culgan, in particular, bore a Thunder Rune during the Dunan Unification War, using it in battle both against the New State Army and Nash Latkje.
