The Silence Rune (ちんもくの紋章, Chinmoku no Monshō) is a rune which appears in Suikoden II, Suikoden Tactics, and Suikoden V. It also makes an appearance in Genso Suikogaiden Vol.2.
Information
This rune could not be borne by an individual, and had to be attached to a weapon. An opponent struck with a weapon that has this rune attached had a chance of having their speech suppressed, rendering them silenced by the blow and unable to use rune magic.
When fighting against the fake Fire Bringer in Milit Village, Camus would use this rune to silence Clant, the fraudulent Flame Champion.
