Pannu Yakuta Castle (パンヌ・ヤクタ城 Pannu Yakuta Jō) is a location in Suikoden. It was the headquarters of the Imperial Army stationed in the Great Forest.
Information
Pannu Yakuta Castle served as the administrative center of the Great Forest region and played significant roles during both the War of Succession and the Gate Rune War.
During the War of Succession, the castle became the stronghold for Barbarosa Rugner's forces, who sought refuge there after facing early setbacks. Some historical accounts suggest that the castle's foundations were built on ancient Sindar ruins, adding an aura of mystique to its history.
In the subsequent Gate Rune War, Pannu Yakuta Castle was under the command of Great General Kwanda Rosman who had been assigned there some years prior. As the conflict escalated, the Toran Liberation Army assembled its forces and launched an assault on the castle, leading to the decisive Battle at Pannu Yakuta Castle.
Following a hard-fought victory for the Liberation Army, the castle was infiltrated by the army's leader and his entourage. Within the castle, they encountered and defeated a formidable Dragon before the leader confronted and ultimately defeated General Rosman in an intense one-on-one duel.
