The Veteran Soldiers (ベテラン兵, Beteran Hei) are enemies which appear in Suikoden.
These Imperial troops were guarding Pannu Yakuta Castle during the Gate Rune War. These battle-seasoned soldiers excelled with weapons such as bows and spears and were capable anywhere on the battlefield. Among the soldiers only the women were trained in sword use.
