History

Nolbanos was a magician, magicite crafter, and head of the Nobilious family, famed for its magic research within the Holy Empire of Ionia. During the HIY 100 Teras Pharma conflict, he was famed for being Empress Astrid's magicite crafter. Despite his advanced years he was known as a notorious womanizer.
As a high-ranking member of the Holy Imperial nobility, he oversaw the House of Wisdom in his time. Though he was not the one to decide to create or hold Teras Pharma in the facility, he did his duty to keep them contained and the information secret. As far as he knew, these Teras Pharma were being held entirely to research potential defenses against them.
Astrid would direct the hero to Nolbanos so that he could learn more about the House of Wisdom. Upon meeting, his preference for attractive women was immediately obvious, both with his dealings with the Company, and with his interactions with Lady Syldis who had to resignedly dismiss his overtures on multiple occasions.
After speaking with the hero, Nolbanos agreed to pass down his magicite crafting techniques, but only if the hero brought him a suitable number of beautiful women. Ermione, Luseri, Myra, Ilia, and Forne were brought to him. Although he expressed his delight, all found him repugnant. Still, the instantaneous transmission of skills from Nolbanos to Forne at least kept the interaction brief.
Following the war, with Astrid's help, he was able to seal the House of Wisdom and Tower of Zoe, ending Ionian practices there. However, both would be unsealed with his death. In a world of the Infinity where the chains of causality were broken, he would instead discover research kept by the Mountain Roots in the House of Wisdom and Yggdrasilian Palace, using them to aid in the building of migrant ships.
