The first Battle with Teo (テオとの戦い（1回目）, Teo to no Tatakai (1-kai-me)) was a significant military encounter that took place during the course of the Gate Rune War. The confrontation transpired between the Toran Liberation Army and the Scarlet Moon Imperial Army.

History

Following the triumphant outcome of the Second Battle at Scarleticia Castle, the Toran Liberation Army swiftly received intelligence regarding the approaching Imperial Army forces under the command of General Teo McDohl. The Imperial Army's advancement was observed on the eastern shores of Lake Toran, heading towards Toran Castle.

Upon receiving this information, the Liberation Army's strategist, Mathiu Silverberg, suggested engaging in a preliminary skirmish to gauge the strength of the Imperial Army and to assess General Teo's capabilities. Concurrently, Teo's son, resolute in his determination to confront his father, managed to suppress any doubts in his heart and prepared to participate in the battle.

However, during the actual engagement, the Liberation Army encountered unexpected and overwhelming resistance from Teo McDohl's Armored Cavalry. Despite their valorous efforts, the Liberation Army suffered heavy casualties and found themselves in a precarious situation, prompting them to issue a strategic order for a full retreat.

Exploiting the advantage gained from their successful engagement, the Imperial Army pursued the retreating rebel forces with unwavering determination. In the face of the impending threat of the Liberation Army's complete annihilation, the tide of battle shifted when Pahn, a member of the Liberation Army, confronted General Teo in a one-on-one duel.

This act of courage and skill demonstrated by Pahn temporarily halted the advance of Teo's army, sparing the Liberation Army from utter destruction despite the Imperial Army's overwhelming advantage.
