The Boar Rune (ししの紋章, Shishi no Monshō) is a rune which appears in the first Suikoden game.

Information

Once activated, the Boar Rune granted the bearer the ability to unleash a brief but potent flurry of attacks. However, the powerful assault delivered by the user resulted in significant recoil, causing the user to be knocked off balance.

Adventurers seeking to acquire the Boar Rune could find it within a chest concealed in the Village of the Hidden Rune. Additionally, it could be obtained from defeated Death Boars encountered throughout Great Forest region. The Boar Rune could be equipped by those proficient in wielding claw weapons, allowing them to harness its might.

Although the rune was permanently equipped by Pahn, it was not a unique rune. Notably, Ronnie Bell had a Hate Rune permanently affixed to her, rendering her unable to equip the Boar Rune. This restriction left only Eikei and Morgan as suitable candidates capable of attaching and removing the Boar Rune in the Toran Liberation Army.
