History

There's a groove in the blade here... A lot of poison flowing...

—  Suomjin

Suomjin was a Coutanese blacksmith who provided support at Tios Fortress during the HIY 200 Teras Pharma conflict. He was a descendant of Siu Jin and very long-lived for a Coutanese, his face covered in wrinkles.

At some point, he became obsessed with strengthening weapons with poison, much to chagrin of his daughter, Chamjin. This would lead to Chamjin distancing herself from her father and his work. Suomjin was also acquainted with Mephitis who similarly worked with poison.

Prone to cackling in laughter and speaking in raspy, stilted sentences, Suomjin would be impressed by the work of the Company's blacksmith and passed down his techniques to them. Later, he would introduce them to Mephitis, helping to explain the circumstances and help she needed.

Following the final battle, Suomjin moved to the Riolta Plains, working with Mephitis to better handle poisons. He also reconciled with Chamjin. In a world of the Infinity where the barrier fell, he was instead assigned to research handling and antidotes for new poisons in the outside world, working alongside his daughter.
