Radnin (ラドニーン, Radonīn) is a supporting character in Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki. He is a scalehorde soldier serving directly under Empress Astrid.
History

Radnin was a martialist who served as Empress Astrid's bodyguard alongside Maximus Zaphir during the HIY 200 Teras Pharma conflict and immediately thereafter.
One of the most prominent scalehorde of the era, he felt a great debt to Astrid for taking him under her wing and credited her with the raising of the scalehorde as a whole from barbarity. As such, he was very defensive of Astrid and was quick to take offense at anyone who judged to be impugning her or the Yggdrasilian Throne.
As such, Radnin's first interactions with the hero's Company were mostly hostile, filled with disbelief at their claims. However, like Astrid and Maximus he was not unreasonably obstinate and would, with some degree of sadness, come to recognize the truth of the Yggdrasilian Throne's manipulations of the world.
Upon meeting Jagwan, he was first filled with rage at Jagwan's disdain towards Astrid. Jagwan felt this made Radnin a toady, Radnin thought it worthy service for the Empress who helped the scalehorde so much. After a brawl, Radnin would come to appreciate Jagwan's gregariousness, seeing it as representing a positive future for the scalehorde.
He would fight alongside and protect Astrid as she investigated the Yggdrasilian Throne further, first fighting against Bazarte Lugam and his Grubs at West Mt. Hioni and finally fighting against the Teras Fe Tys in the depths of the Yggdrasilian Palace itself.
Following the defeated of the Teras Fe Tys, Radnin left his post as Astrid's escort and took command of a new scalehorde unit. There, he molded many brave soldiers. In a branch of the Infinity where the chains of causality were completely broken, however, he organized the scalehorde to build migrant ships and settlements, greatly aiding Empress Astrid.
