The Imperial Captain (たいちょう, Taichō, Commanding Officer) is an enemy which appears in Suikoden.

Imperial Captains usually appear leading groups of Imperial Soldiers in battle. Although more powerful than their subordinates, they should not pose a threat to any reasonably prepared party.

Information

These Imperial captains commanded members of the Imperial Army assigned to protect the military government of Rockland. They are chosen out of the rank and file Imperial soldiers due to their excellent leadership and combat abilities.

Their skill with a sword in particular hampered the efforts of McDohl as he tried to rescue Varkas and Sydonia.
