Genso Suikoden IV: 2 (幻想水滸伝IV ⟨中⟩, Gensō Suikoden IV Naka) is a book published by MediaWorks in 2005.
It is the second part of a three-part light novelization of the events of Suikoden IV. It covers the events of the game from the journey to the Nest of Pirates to the alliance with Na-Nal Island and encountering the Fog Ship.
This was the first work to refer to the hero of Suikoden IV as Razro (alt. Razlo, or Lazlo), a name that would be used in many subsequent publications and the fandom at large for the character.
Summary

To resist this threat, Lazlo and his allies resolve to unite the scattered Island Nations into a single force. Differences from the game
- Dario's adventures are wholly unique to this adaptation. Jango, Brec, Shiramine, and Ugetsu all join under different circumstances than in the game. The same is also true of the mermaid sisters.
- The Iluya Island survivors continue to receive greater focus. They also escape the island and join up with Allied Forces at sea. In game, they are all recruited on the island itself.
- Lino is injured in his duel with Lazlo, requiring a trip to Mordo Island to heal. Mordo is a completely optional location with no plot relevance in the game.
- The shown aspect of Troy's dislike of Cray, namely his cruelty in mermaid hunting, is not present in the original game. His connection to mermaids and Lilon's bond with him are also new.
