During the [[Gate Rune War]], in order for [[Hero (Suikoden)|McDohl]] to recruit [[Sarah (Suikoden)|Sarah]] in [[Kirov]], he had to get her some [[Soap]] as per her request. This was only doable by completing a series of trades in order to obtain it. Successfully trading [[Salt]] for this uncommon seasoning allowed McDohl to complete the mission when he traded the soy sauce for the elusive soap.

Salt for soy sauce.

Soy sauce (しょうゆ, Shōyu) is an item in the first Suikoden. It can be obtained in Kirov as the penultimate item in the fetch quest there and can be traded for Soap in order to recruit Sarah.

A popular seasoning made from soybeans. It goes well with fish and meat. It is sold at trading posts for 300 potch in Rokkaku Hamlet and for up to 850 potch in Gregminster.

During the Gate Rune War, in order for McDohl to recruit Sarah in Kirov, he had to get her some Soap as per her request.

This was only doable by completing a series of trades in order to obtain it. Successfully trading Salt for this uncommon seasoning allowed McDohl to complete the mission when he traded the soy sauce for the elusive soap.
