Salt (しお, Shio) is an item in several games of the Suikoden series. It is usually a trade item and in Suikoden can be obtained in Kirov to trade for Soy Sauce as part of the fetch quest to recruit Sarah.

Information

This common seasoning was traded in the City-States of Jowston. Prices tended to run lower, around 270 potch, in South Window City and higher, to the tune of 700 potch, in Rokkaku Hamlet.

During the Gate Rune War, when McDohl attempted to recruit Sarah in Kirov by getting her some Soap, he had to complete a series of trades in order to obtain it. After obtaining the Salt by trading a Yardstick for it, he went to trade this very common seasoning in the city for some Soy Sauce.
