The Wooden Amulet (木ぼりのお守り, Kibori no Omamori) is an event item in Suikoden II.

Information

This amulet was sold at the item shop in Muse City. It had small carvings of stars, fish, and scales.

The hero and Jowy Atreides was asked by Pilika of Toto Village to buy it as a gift for her father, Marx, while the youths were staying at the Mercenary Fortress.

Pilika gave the two her 70 potch in savings to purchase the amulet, but the shopkeeper charged 500 potch. Still, they obtained the amulet for the little girl as promised.

During the Dunan Unification War, this amulet was used as a trap for Luca Blight. Fireflies were enclosed inside the amulet and when opened gave the archers of the New Alliance Army a visible target, allowing them to riddle the fleeing king's body with arrows.

Trivia

  • If the player has the required 500 potch, they can buy the amulet outright. Not having enough money, or refusing to pay, will have Jowy pawn his family ring to obtain the amulet instead.
