The Chronicle of Noble Steel (気高き鋼鉄の書, Kedakaki Kōtetsu no Sho) is a Chronicle, a critical item in Suikoden Tierkreis. It is the surviving record of a world consumed by the One King.

Information

This Chronicle is a book encased in steel.

The Chronicle of Noble Steel is the surviving Chronicle of the original world of the Auster Folk. Its appearance is that of a book whose cover is a rugged steel plate.

At some point, this Chronicle came into the possession of Macoute, the Order secretary assigned to oversee the town of Grayridge. Macoute had no idea of the value of the book. When it was discovered by the hero, he would receive a vision of a Nameless Hero leading the Auster Folk into battle.

It had apparently been covertly taken by the Order at some point and subsequently used to call a further world fusion, then discarded. When the Order reclaimed the Chronicle, they would implant it within the Archivist Fergus, causing him to transform into a monster. Following his death, the Chronicle would be reclaimed by the hero once more.

When the Chronicle of Noble Steel was brought to Ordovic's altar in Lugenik, its power would manage to revive the fabled "first ancestor" of the Auster Folk.

The stoic intensity of the Auster Folk, a segment of whom survived the world fusion following the fall of their world to the One King, is said to be represented by the Chronicle's name and appearance.
