Luvais (ルバイス, Rubaisu) is a supporting character in Suikoden Tierkreis. Luvais is a spy and informant who works to bring information and intel on the Order of the One True Way to any party opposed to them.
History
Luvais was an informant and spy who worked closely with the Magedom of Janam. He also helped the Company many times by quickly communicating the movements of the Order to them.
In the past, Luvais was a member of the Mage Forces and was considered a legendary officer there and was given the nickname "Clairvoyant Spy". He may have seemed like an unattached person, but Luvais actually held a strong motivation for his aid.
He was once married to a woman who believed strongly in the Order and the two settled down at Ladzaa Fortress. When she fell ill, she refused to receive any medical attention, as that would be a betrayal of Order doctrine. Without aid, she passed away.
Since then and knowing he could not bring down the Order alone, Luvais has worked to contribute to the defeat of the Order however he can, by cooperating with both the Magedom and the Company. When the Magedom and the Company dissolved their alliance, Luvais chose to follow the Company, feeling they had the better chance of truly destroying the Order.
Following the war, Luvais did not change in temperament or habits, often disappearing and reappearing. It is said that whenever he returns, he always brings with him the most surprising information.
