The Giant Slug (スラッグ, Surragu, Slug) is an enemy which appears in Suikoden.
Their stats are very similar to their Giant Snail counterparts, having a strong STR stat and mediocre numbers in everything else. Still, by the time the player encounters them, they should be more than able to deal with them, rendering them much less threatening that the Giant Snail.
Information
These giant snails lived in the Toran Lake Castle. Their bodies are covered by a highly durable gem-like shell and but their retractable necks mean they can attack their prey from a distance without approaching the enemy. Their weakness was fire magic.

Trivia
- Slugs can in fact have shells, although not as depicted in the Giant Slug's sprite. They are usually very small, vestigial or internalized however. Semislugs have larger shells which are not quite vestigial but are still too small to retract into.
