Banshee (バンシー, Banshī) is an enemy which appears in Suikoden.
Banshees can inflict the Silence status on members of the party but besides that, they are not very threatening. Their low DEF make them an easy target for regular physical attacks.
Information
This grotesque spirit, neither resembling a young or old woman, cried out in a sad voice, appearing in front of people when misfortune struck. They were feared as harbingers of bad luck. Its appearance was confirmed in the Cave of the Past behind Qlon Temple, and it is said that those who heard its cry lost their voices in fear.
It also seems that Landscape Scrolls could sometimes be found on its person, indicating it had an appreciation for art.

Etymology
The term banshee comes from the Irish bean sí ("woman of the sídhe" or "woman of the fairy mounds"). The banshee is a female spirit in Irish mythology, usually seen as an omen of death and a messenger from the Otherworld. In legend, a banshee is a fairy woman who begins to wail if someone is about to die.
