The Great Offensive (大攻勢, Dai Kōsei) was a campaign during the SY 428-432 war between the Highland Kingdom and the City-States of Jowston in the Dunan region. The campaign and its fallout form part of the background for Suikoden II.
Overview
The term Great Offensive refers specifically to the counterattack launched by the City-States of Jowston under the command of Genkaku in SY 432 against the 428 invasion by the Highland Kingdom, which had captures great swathes of Jowston territory.
Through Genkaku's leadership, Greenhill City and the Matilda Knightdom were recaptured by Alliance forces. The elite "Black Lion" unit of the South Window City forces, of which Zamji was a part, were also active at this time.
