Luca Blight (ルカ・ブライト, Ruka Buraito) is a boss enemy who appears in Suikoden II.
Information
Luca Blight can be a formidable opponent as not only does he have resistance against all forms of damage, but he also has three actions every battle round.
The battle against Luca Blight is unique in that it is spread across three separate battles, against three separate teams. Luca's HP does not replenish between the three battles and the overall encounter will progress either after a certain amount of turns or once the first two teams deplete about 2000 HP each from Luca.
A battle party led by Flik will attack first, where Luca is accompanied by five White Wolf Soldier soldiers. Viktor's team will attack next, where Luca will be accompanied by three White Wolf Soldier. Following this, the hero's team will attack for the final portion of the battle, where Luca fights alone.
Several of Luca Blight's attacks are fire-based, so anything to dampen this with items such as Fire Emblems and runes such as the Fire Sealing Rune will be useful. The true difficulty, however, comes with the scale of the battle. If the player is unprepared, having to gather 18 fighters for this encounter may be difficult.
With sufficient preparation, however, Luca Blight is a strong but not insurmountable opponent.
