Zamji (ザムジー, Zamujī) is a character who appears in Genso Suikoden Short Story Collection 1. He is a fomer soldier now running an inn in South Window City.
History
Zamji was once a member of South Window City's elite military unit, the Black Lions before an injury to his left foot forced him to retire. Ever since then, his left leg had always dragged behind him. He became an innkeeper, running the Lion's Fang Inn in South Window City around the time Neclord attacked North Window.
His shorn hair and frightening face made him appear formidable, but he had a hearty personality as well as a wife and a seven-year-old daughter. He had a stocky build, and a tanned, sallow complexion.
When Viktor came into town, despondent from the destruction of his hometown, Zamji would rescue him from a bar brawl and took him in, helping him heal emotionally from what happened at North Window. Six months later, he would help Viktor and Anabelle discover through his military connections that weapons merchants were attempting to use the destruction of North Window to cause war between South Window and Two River City.
He would help raid the conspirator's hideout, dispatching two enemies at once with his formidable spear skills, despite his old war injury, using the length of the spear to shield his bad leg. After helping uncover the conspiracy, Zamji would return to running his inn.
