Imperial Guard
近衛兵 Konoehei
- Main article: Imperial Guard
The Imperial Guard (近衛兵, Konoehei) are an enemy in the first Suikoden.
They are the sole Imperial forces remaining at Gregminster Palace at the end of the game. Although they are capable foes, they lack the special abilities of the other enemies you can encounter in the palace. The female soldiers are more balanced and are better magic users than their male counterparts.
Information
These soldiers fought to the best of their ability to protect Gregminster Palace at the end of the Gate Rune War. Comprised of both male and female soldiers, the men wielded two-handed swords while the women carried both sword and shield into combat. Though the male soldiers were physically stronger, the female soldiers utilized runes.
