Lee (リイ, Rī) is a character from Genso Suikoden Short Story Collection 1. He was a member of the Mt. Seifu bandits.
History
Lee was a member of the infamous Mt. Seifu bandits, enjoying a special kinship with Varkas, who acted as a protective older brother, shielding Lee from the taunts and jibes of their fellow bandits. With a youthful appearance resembling that of a small animal, Lee's eyes and nose clustered at the center of his face, creating a distinctive look.
Despite not possessing great physical strength, Lee's attentive nature and dedication made him an indispensable right-hand man to Varkas, especially when they encountered Sydonia, a young captive held by the bandits. Lee, being a year older than Sydonia, played a caring role in ensuring the youth's well-being, offering nourishment and, upon Varkas' instructions, removing the shock collar imposed by Sydonia's previous captors.
Lee's unwavering loyalty to Varkas extended to supporting him during conflicts with Guin, the bandits' leader. His steadfastness proved crucial when he later saved Varkas' life by treating him for poisoning. After this event, Lee wholeheartedly backed Varkas' ascension to the position of the new chief of the bandits.
