Kou Long (コウロン, Kouron) is a character who appears in Genso Suikoden Short Story Collection 1. He is a merchant who came across the ruins of North Window.
History
Kou Long was a merchant, who wore loose red clothes and carried an easy going smile as well a small knife for self-defense, though Viktor thought him to be a bit duplicitous in his dealings. He and Viktor had met in South Window City, and Viktor had invited the trader back to North Window to conduct business and also for the company.
As such, Kou Long who was one of the first people to discover the tragedy of North Window. As Viktor had rushed on ahead when he saw the smoke rising from North Window, Kou Long would arrive after the town's destruction. He would patch up Viktor's wound from Kite and then called for relief from Kuskus Town.
Later, Kou Long would align himself with weapon merchants, using his knowledge of the North Window incident to increase tensions between South Window City and Two River City, all for profit. The plot would be uncovered by Viktor, Anabelle and Zamji, Kou Long would be captured, and war would be avoided.
