Pirates (海賊, Kaizoku), and their superiors, the Pirate Boss (海賊親分, Kaizoku Oyabun) are an event enemy in Suikoden IV. They are fought in the aftermath of the Retribution naval battle.

Information

These pirates are the ones who attacked Razril and made landfall at the town's port. Each one had a sword equipped with a Lightning Rune.

Although none of these pirates had particularly good fighting skills, they did have the ability to cast sleeping magic so letting them act unchecked would be dangerous.

Each group was led by a Pirate Boss, these veteran pirates were tougher opponents, their swords also enhanced through the use of Lightning Rune pieces.

Trivia

  • The English-language localization of Suikoden IV simply calls both enemy types "Pirates" with no distinction. In the original Japanese, they are divided into "Pirate" and "Pirate Boss" enemy types.
