The Boss Crab (ヌシガ二, Nushigani) is a boss event enemy in Suikoden IV. It is fought on the Deserted Island after repairing the wrecked Exile Ship. When first fought, it was accompanied by two Wild Crabs. After its defense is dropped, it is fought alongside six Wild Crabs.
Information
This giant monster served as the boss of the crabs that lived on the Deserted Island. It seems to be very protective of its crabs and attacking any of its children will enrage it. It fights with powerful water breath attacks.
The Boss Crab had very strong defenses and giant pincers to attack with. When defending itself, it could repel most any attack with ease but when brought into an attack posture, its defenses would drop quite considerably. The hero had to use his Rune of Punishment to drop the creature's defenses and rescue Chiepoo.
It is said that Boss Crab meat tastes very good. When the exiled hero and his friends defeated the Boss Crab on the island, they cooked the body and had an enormous, hearty meal before leaving the island.
