Kanak (カナック, Kanakku) is a supporting character in Suikoden. Kanak is one of Anji's subordinates in their pirate gang.
History

Kanak was the strong, but silent, member of the lake pirate crew operating on Lake Toran, serving with Leonardo under Anji. He is a friendly, even-tempered fellow with great physical strength. In battle, he could fight with a surprising ferocity, especially to protect his friends, as the Imperial Army would find out. He agreed to join the Toran Liberation Army with his friends after they were defeated by the leader of the army, Tai Ho and Yam Koo.
Kanak served alongside his companions during the Gate Rune War and following the formation of the Toran Republic, Kanak faithfully followed his friends into their new business venture.

Kanak can be fought as an optional enemy in Suikoden. He fights the party alongside Anji and Leonardo. He must be defeated in order to recruit him.
