The strength and utility of the Falcon Rune is attributed to [[Murayama Yoshitaka]]'s own favoritism towards [[Valeria]] as a character. This favoritism has also been cited as the reason why Valeria has a unique critical hit animation with the rune in [[Suikoden II]] while [[Anita]] does not.

The Falcon Rune (はやぶさの紋章, Hayabusa no Monshō) is an attack rune that appears in several games of the Suikoden series. It is always permanently attached to a sword fighter.
