Valeria (バレリア, Bareria) is a supporting character in Suikoden and Suikoden II who also appears in Genso Suikogaiden Volume 2. Valeria attempted to stop Kwanda Rosman's scheme to annihilate the Great Forest.

Valeria is a an officer who betrayed the Scarlet Moon Empire in an attempt to stop Kwanda Rosman from burning down the Great Forest. Valeria was horrified at the idea of the Burning Mirror, which she knew could burn down not only Lukie Ende Towayo and the Village of the Elves but the entire forest, including her home. During the early stages of the Gate Rune War, Valeria attempted to warn the elves of Lukiae Ende Towayo, but was rebuffed by them and imprisoned in a cell.

While imprisoned, Valeria met members of the Toran Liberation Army who had come to convince the elves of the danger of the Burning Mirror and the two agreed to join causes as the group escaped, with the help of Sylvina. Together, Valeria and the Toran Liberation Army members managed to secure an alliance with the dwarves, but by the time they were able to convince the dwarves of the danger the Burning Mirror held,they were too late to prevent Kwanda Rosman from using the burning mirror to attack the elves, decimating the elven population.

Unable to prevent the destruction of Lukiae Ende Towayo, Valeria and the Toran Liberation Army attempted to return to Toran Castle, where they could order the Toran Liberation Army into battle against Kwanda Rosman. However, in the Kobold Village, they were ambushed by Scarlet Moon Empire soldiers. Recognizing Valeria due to the bounty on her head, the Scarlet Moon Empire soldiers made a deal with Valeria - so long as she would turn herself in, they would not harm the others. Though Valeria knew this would mean that she was likely to be executed for treason, Valeria knew the Burning Mirror must be destroyed and that could not happen if they all died in Kobold Village.

Despite brokering a deal with the Scarlet Moon Empire soldiers, following her capture the Scarlet Moon Empire soldiers quickly reneged on their deal and attempted to kill Tir McDohl and his party. However, their plan was unsuccessful, as Valeria and Tir McDohl's party were rescued by Mathiu Silverberg and Toran Liberation Army reinforcements, who were warned by Stallion and Sylvina of the Burning Mirror. Following their reunion, the Toran Liberation Army marched onwards to Pannu Yakuta Castle, where they attacked Kwanda Rosman and proved victorious in the Battle at Pannu Yakuta Castle. After the battle of Pannu Yakuta, Valeria was the first to realize that Kwanda Rosman meant to use the Burning Mirror on the Toran Liberation Army, but he was prevented in doing so by the Chief of the Dwarves, who destroyed the Burning Mirror with the Firewind Cannon.

As the Liberation Army prepared to infiltrate Pannu Yakuta and capture Kwanda Rosman, Valeria requested that she be part of Tir McDohl's party. Their party successfully defeated Kwanda, liberating the Great Forest from the control of the Scarlet Moon Empire.

Following the defeat of Kwanda, Valeria asked if she could join the Toran Liberation Army as well, as she felt she needed to prevent the tragedy of the Burning Mirror from repeating itself. Valeria served the Toran Liberation Army throughout the Gate Rune War.

Following the end of the Gate Rune War, Valeria became a Platoon Commander and a mediator with the Elves.
