Macoute (マクート, Makūto) is a supporting antagonist in Suikoden Tierkreis. Macoute is the head of the Grayridge chapter of the Order of the One True Way.

History

Macoute was the secretary for the Grayridge chapter of the Order of the One True Way. He held no firm belief in the teachings of the Order and abused his own position to make false prophecies, using them to embezzle goods and potch from the people of Grayridge, lining his own pockets.

He would lose this position and be detained by the Order when his deeds were uncovered by Erin and the hero. He would be taken to Cynas where he underwent "re-education". Following this, he was sent to various places to spread the word of the Order in order to ascertain what he had learned.

Towards the end of the war, Macoute was recalled to Cynas again. There, he had the mark of the Chronicle of Resonant Horror implanted in him, reducing him to a pitiable state. When the Company marched on Cynas, he transformed into a terrible monster, fought the Company and died.
