The Balloon (ふうせん, Fūsen) effect is a status effect seen in several games of the Suikoden series.
Information

The exact effect of the Balloon status varies per game but in all games it is essentially a counter. When the target accumulates enough balloons, they are removed from the battle, carried away by the attached balloons. Needles can be used to pop the balloons to reset the counter. Characters carried away by balloons cannot be brought back during that combat encounter but are restored to the party following the battle.
