Maybelle (メイベル, Meiberu) is a minor character in Suikoden Tierkreis. Maybelle is a confused young girl who believes herself to be the reincarnation of an ancient warrior.
History
Maybelle is a young girl who became convinced she was the reincarnation of a "warrior of light" from 1,000 years ago. This delusion was only compounded when she met the hero atop the Ch'olui Mountains. Declaring him to be her fated lover from this previous life, a boy named R'ukah, Maybelle began to follow him. Mubal theorized that the process of world fusion had somehow affected her memories.
Eventually the hero, pushed past his limits by her insistence and lack of boundaries, had her touch a Chronicle, awakening her as a Starbearer. He also tried to dismiss Maybelle's notions of a fated love, believing it to be too similar to the teachings of the Order of the One True Way.
With this, Maybelle was able to dispense with her delusion and apologizing, joined the Company of her own will. Still, over time she became more and more fond of the leader, and could often by found outside his room.
Even after the war, she would remain part of the Company and attempt to get closer to the hero, attempting to sneak into his room sometimes.
