Kasumi (カスミ, Kasumi) is a supporting character in Suikoden and Suikoden II. Kasumi is a ninja from Rokkaku who rose to the position of Vice-Chancellor of Rokkaku.

Kasumi is a ninja from Rokkaku who was forced to flee her home when Teo McDohl's Armored Cavalry attacked Rokkaku, bringing it under the Scarlet Moon Empire's jurisdiction[1]. Kasumi was aided in her escape by her boss, Hanzo, who ordered her to report what had happened to the Rokkaku ninjas to the Toran Liberation Army[2]. Successfully reaching Toran Castle before Teo McDohl's forces, Kasumi asked to join the Toran Liberation Army in order to join them in battle[3].
Following the Second Battle with Teo, Kasumi remained with the Toran Liberation Army, aiding them by performing reconnaissance and scouting missions. Using her sources, Kasumi was able to determine that Imperial troops were pulling out of the Lorimar region[4]. Kasumi scouted the Fortress of Lorimar[5] and found it empty[6]. Kasumi also learned that Kasim Hazil was building up his forces[7].
Kasumi was occasionally partnered up with Krin; the two were sent on reconnaissance missions. Kasumi and Krin caught Taggart wandering around Toran Castle[8]. They were also able to find out that there was a Scarlet Moon Empire spy within the Toran Liberation Army, but were unable to determine who the spy was[9].
When the Toran Liberation Army sneaked into Moravia, Kasumi and Krin were chosen to be part of Tir McDohl's party[10]. Kasumi was instrumental in rescuing Viktor and Warren by opening the locks[11]. Kasumi's loyal attitude toward Tir McDohl contrasted heavily with Krin's more selfish attitude[12]. Kasumi always endevoured to look ladylike in front of Tir, though Krin claimed that she was a lost cause at doing so[13].
Following the Battle at Floating Fortress Shasarazade, Kasumi scouted the fortress in order to find the floodgates the Toran Liberation Army needed to close in order to light Shasarazade on fire[14]. After the last battle, Kasumi was surprised to find out that Hanzo had survived Teo McDohl's attack on Rokkaku[15]. Hanzo apologized to Kasumi for keeping his survival a secret[16].
Following the end of the Gate Rune War, Kasumi returned to Rokkaku[17].
