Gateway: Locations
Ten unique games in the Suikoden series are set in the same world, in various locations and times in its history. A further three titles explore the multiverse known as the Infinity.

These worlds all hold a host of countries, regions, settlements, and natural features for the player to explore.

Featured Location
Gregminster (グレッグミンスター, Guregguminsutā) is a city which appears in both Suikoden and Suikoden II. It is the capital of the Toran Republic and its predecessor, the Scarlet Moon Empire.

Originally known as the holy city of Rupanda, the city was renamed Gregminster when Cranach Rugner declared independence from the Holy Kingdom of Harmonia in 230, establishing the Scarlet Moon Empire and has served as a national capital since that time.

The city of Gregminster was virtually destroyed during the War of Succession of 446 as Geil Rugner's own bandit forces ransacked and looted the city while imposing martial law and harsh curfews. But the rise of Barbarosa Rugner to the throne saw the city rebuilt, more beautiful than before. As the city prospered, Gregminster housed many high-ranking officials of the Empire, giving rise to a sense of superiority from inhabitants of the city. (more...)

The Infinity
The Infinity (百万世界, Hyakuman Sekai, Million Worlds) is the term used to describe the collection of infinite parallel worlds that link the Suikoden series together following Suikoden V, though references to the concept have existed since Suikoden II. It is a key plot point in Suikoden Tierkreis and Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki.

The Infinity is described as the infinite number of parallel worlds that exist in the overall cosmology. The worlds can both be extremely similar when compared to one another or incredibly disparate. Overall, there can be said to be no universal recurring element. (more...)
