Sancho (サンチョ, Sancho) is a supporting character who appears in Suikoden. Sancho is the faithful squire of Maximilian, leader of the Maximilian Knights.

Sancho was a former knight who served as the loyal squire of Maximilian. He accompanied his master in his attempt to aid in the Toran Liberation Army's attack on Moravia. He joined the army, along with his master, after encountrting its leader at the Northern Checkpoint.

Sancho was always anxious about his master's wellbeing and followed him everywhere. Following the end of the Gate Rune War, Sancho continued to serve his master. However, he was unable to attend to Maximilian during the Dunan Unification War as he was visiting his home at the time.

Trivia

  • Sancho has one of the few alternative endings in Suikoden. His ending will change if Maximilian dies in a war battle before completing the game. His new ending states "Puts flowers on his master's grave daily.[1]"
