Kashgar (ガシュガル, Gashugaru) is a supporting character in Suikoden Tierkreis. Kashgar is the elderly leader of the Auster Folk.
History
Kashgar was the chief of the Auster Folk. In his original world, the youthful Kashgar had fought against the One King and was, in fact, the last survivor of that battle. Those memories were lost when his world was destroyed and fused to this one.
Here, he believed that the teachings of the Auster Folk and the philosophy of the Order of the One True Way were compatible and so aligned the clan with the Order. Stubborn and conservative, he refused to listen to the Company or even Vaslof.
When First Ancestor Ordovic was resurrected, however, Kashgar would regain his memories and would quickly dissolve the alliance with the Order, choosing to fight alongside the Company to prevent the resurrection of the One King.
As a member of the Company, he would travel to other worlds in the Infinity in an attempt to persuade other versions of the Auster Folk to abandon their alliances with their versions of the Order. He did not have much success, save for when he could call forth a version of their First Ancestor to convince them, much in the same way he was convinced.
Following the war, Kashgar attempted to retired, but unable to find a suitable replacement, remained in the position for the foreseeable future.
