The Archivists (司書, Shisho), sometimes translated as Librarians, are a group in Suikoden Tierkreis. They are an agency of the Order of the One True Way tasked with obtaining False Chronicles. This brings them into conflict with the hero's group repeatedly throughout the game.
Information
The Archivists were the direct subordinates of Valfred, Chancellor of the Order of the One True Way. The Archivists were tasked with retrieving Chronicles on behalf of the Order.
All members, with the exception of Diadora, have been been given Marks of the Stars from False Chronicles by Valfred through his use of the True Chronicle, and could be considered artificially created Starbearers as a result. They would confront the hero and his Company several times in their efforts to obtain all the False Chronicles.
After recovering several of the Company's Chronicles, many of the Archivists would be transformed into grotesque monsters by having the False Chronicles implanted inside them to bolster their strength. These Archivists would be directed to attack the Company but would be defeated and die in the process.
Nova, Sophia, and Diadora would be the only Archivists to survive the war against the Order.
