Rita (リタ, Rita) is a supporting character in Suikoden IV and Suikoden Tactics. She is an ambitious and excitable young woman and the creator of the game, Ritapon!.

Biography

Um, I'm always really earnest... And always neat... Ummm... and also, I like puffer fish with sashimi!

—  Rita

Rita was a young game lover who came up with a game called Ritapon! to play against others with. Excited to show off her creation, she would challenge the hero to a game after a chance meeting on Na-Nal Island only to lose and agree to join him on board the Headquarters Ship as payment.

Despite being the creator of Ritapon!, Rita was not especially talented at the game. In addition to losing to the hero, she often lost to Noah, something that would leave her extremely frustrated. She also once cheated in a game against Rakgi in order to avoid defeat, although she later regretted her actions.

Always excited to play against the hero, Rita would also bond with Noah and Rene in their appreciation for their commander and before the final attack on El-Eal Fortress would present him with an amulet they made together.

Once the Island Liberation War ended, Rita set to work on creating a new game, one that she hoped would earn her even more potch. She asked the Quest Guild to find test players for her new, yet unnamed game. Kyril agreed to play it with her in Razril and, after she lost, she agreed to help him on his journey.

She reunited with her old friends Millay, Noah and Rene on this adventure, but also befriended Corselia, Princess of the Kooluk Empire. Rita continued to promote her new game to all her friends, winning most of the time.
