Melodye (メロディ, Merodi) is a character in the original Suikoden game. She is a young woman looking for a rare rune to unlock her own special ability.

Biography

I'd like to use this tiny power for the benefit of all. —  Melodye

Melodye is a young phonologist who had the special talent to draw out the power of the rare Sound Rune. However, she was worrying in the city of Kirov during the Gate Rune War as she had no way to obtain such a rare rune. Luckily, the the leader of the Toran Liberation Army found a Sound Rune and gave it to her. In gratitude, Melodye joined the Liberation Army's cause. She used her phonological skills and awakened power to aid the force to the best of her ability, giving the Liberation Army a variety of sounds.

Following the end of the war, Melodye took off with her Sound Rune to collect all the sounds of the world.
