The East Palace (東の離宮, Azuma no Rikyū) is a location seen in Suikoden V. It is a royal residence in the Queendom of Falena and hosts the Dawn Rune, one of the nation's three runes.

Information

The East Palace was a small palace located to the east of the Falenan capital of Sol-Falena. The Dawn Rune was enshrined here, juxtaposing itself with the West Palace where the Twilight Rune was located.

However, the Dawn Rune was lost during the SY 447 Lordlake Uprising, with the people of Lordlake being blamed and ostracized for the incident. In truth, Salum Barows took advantage of the riot to steal the Dawn Rune, storing it in his Rainwall mansion.

When Lymsleia Falenas stopped at the East Palace prior to the Sacred Games, Zerase would appear demanding to know of the Dawn Rune's location. The Dawn Rune was returned to the East Palace following the Sun Rune War.
