The Escape Talisman (すり抜けの札, Surinuke no Fuda) is a standard item throughout the Suikoden series. It allows the player to teleport to the entrance of a dungeon.
Information
When used in such ominous locations as caves and mountain paths, this charm can warp the user and their companions back to the entrance. When used in a location with multiple entrances, it takes the user to the entrance they used themselves.
As such, these charms are good for shortening travel time or in emergency situations and were considered essential, but occasionally, due to some mysterious force in the area, they are rendered ineffective.
Bugs
In the original Suikoden, Krin and Stallion both join you with an Escape Talisman in their inventory. These Escape Talismans can be used infinitely as long as they aren't stored in Rock's storage.
In Suikoden II the item can be used to get access to Kyaro Town when the plot normally doesn't allow it: If the player uses it at North Sparrow Pass after his return to the Mercenary Fortress following the events in Kyaro, one can overcome the guards and travel to Kyaro.
Trivia
- Suikoden Tierkreis is the first traditional RPG in the series that does not feature this item.
