The Western Woods (西の林, Nishi no Hayashi) is a location in Suikoden V. It is a small dungeon-type area located immediately outside Stormfist.

Information

These woods were located just outside Stormfist. A secret Underground Passage hidden in the brush connected these woods to the Stormfist Arena.^[1]

The Prince and Shoon would use this passage to pursue a cadre of suspicious men before the Sacred Games. The woods were also used a hideout by thugs who had kidnapped Marina in an attempt to thwart Belcoot's efforts to win the contest.

Towards the end of the Sun Rune War, the woods were used again, this time to infiltrate the arena.^[2]
