History

I want to help as many people as possible, whether they're sick 100 years from now or injured 200 years from now! That's what a herbalist does!

—  Kiaro

Kiaro was an herbalist from Martylion and the son of Odo. He was initially trained by his father to follow in his footsteps as an apothecary but proved himself inadequate at the field. He would eventually find his niche in medicine application and became a herbalist. Despite his young age, he fought in the HIY 100 Teras Pharma conflict as a field medic.

Following the conflict, Kiaro found himself with an abundance of free time, leaving him restless. Meeting the hero while wandering at Zephtelos Fortress sparked his excitement as he found himself fascinated with time travel and the possibility of using the Era Tree's leaves for medicine.

Kiaro would gratefully travel to Tios Fortress when asked by Sau Jin in order to plant an Era Tree sapling. He would also attempt to help the hero by traveling to Martylion to bring Ketil to meet them, though the armorer refused. When he discovered Odo was a Starbearer, Kiaro wondered if he could also be one. Both Ilia Barcai and Moudi were able to learn from him, proving he was indeed a Star of Destiny.

No less a figure than Empress Astrid herself would call on Kiaro's skills. Once, while investigating Bazarte Lugam and a second time during their final, fateful battle against the Teras Fe Tys below the Yggdrasilian Palace.

Following the war, Kiaro left the army to become an herbalist. At a clash between Ionian and local forces, was seen trying to treat the injured. In a world of the Infinity where the chains of causality were broken, he would instead join the first migrant group alongside his father. Together, their skills saved many who fell ill during the journey.
