Templeton (テンプルトン, Tenpuruton), also styled Templton, is a supporting character in Suikoden and Suikoden II who also appears in Genso Suikogaiden Volume 1. Templeton is a young, attention detailed cartographer whose dream is to map the entire world.

Biography

My dream is to map the entire world. —  Templeton

Templeton was a young cartographer from the land of Kanakan who dedicated his youth toward mapping the entire world in perfect detail and accuracy. While travelling the world, expanded his map, he would have to update his map whenever there was a new discovery.

He would join both the Toran Liberation Army during the Gate Rune War and the New State Army during the Dunan Unification War in order to not only have new places to map but also to oppose forces that would either stop him from mapping their facilities or would destroy towns, leaving them to be remapped.

Following both conflicts, Templeton would resuming his constant mapping, dreaming one day of discovering the edge of the world.

Trivia

• In Suikoden II, his name is given as "Templton" (no second 'e'). This is because the name boxes in Suikoden II can only accommodate up to 8 characters.
