Company (Suikoden Tierkreis)

The Company (団, Dan) are the player's forces in Suikoden Tierkreis. The Company was established to stand against the Order of the One True Way.

Information

The hero would form a force to fight against the Order, which sought to bring about a single predetermined future. At first, the Company was a small organization centered around members of the Citro Village Defense Corps, focused on the defense of Citro Village. They based themselves out of the ruins of Flesaria Forest, turning it into their headquarters.

Its early successes in repelling the Order's Archivists caught the attention of the Magedom of Janam and the two forces entered into an alliance. Although that alliance was short lived, it sparked the growth of the Company into a force that fought to determine the fate of the world.

The Company was not purely a military organization. With the help of the Wanderers, it took on many missions and quests across the Infinity, from monster-extermination to deliveries.

Over time the Company would make alliances with the Furious Roar, the Porpos-kin, the Blades of Night's Veil, and even representatives from foreign powers. They would also convince the Auster Folk to abandon their allegiance to the Order, joining them.

Following the fall of the One King, the Company would continue apace under the hero's leadership, taking on quests and missions for people across the land.

Name

In-game, this is referred to as the Company, with the player providing the prefix. The player enters a proper name for it during the story. Viele Wege Company (フィルヴェーク団, Firuvu Uēku-dan) is used in manga and short stories published in the Genso Suikoden Tierkreis Official Character Guide. Viele Wege is German for 'many paths'. This is the name most in use by the English-speaking fandom.
