Sergei (セルゲイ, Serugei) is a character in the original Suikoden game. He is an inventor who greatest triumph is probably his elevator.

Sergei is an inventor whose designs were often scorned by the authorities of the time[1]. He found Hero (Suikoden) open to his ideas and so became an early member of the Toran Liberation Army[2]. Sergei installed his invention, the elevator, at Toran Castle[3] which proved to be a popular time saver for Liberation Army officials.
After the Gate Rune War, Sergei earned great wealth from his inventions and the patents and royalties that stemmed from them[4].
