Kouan (コウアン, Kouan) is a town which appears in Suikoden. Kouan is a small town which is nevertheless one of the more prominent towns in the Gouran region.

Information

Kouan is located just south of Lake Toran, in the Gouran region. A lot of the success of Kouan and, indeed, its very survival has been credited to Lepant.

When Kraze Miles was appointed military commander of the town, it did not meet with the popular support of most residents. In fact, when Kraze was run out of Kouan and Lepant joined the Toran Liberation Army, most rejoiced in the circumstances.

Lepant's mansion is in Kouan and has remained Lepant's home even after he became President of the Toran Republic.
