Onil (オニール, Onīru) is a supporting character in Suikoden. Onil is a serial gossiper whose web of information often helped out the Toran Liberation Army.
Biography

Onil, despite appearing to be a normal gossip, had access to much classified information thanks to a wide network of sources. As such, her knowledge ranged from local, prosaic gossip to far-reaching matters of empire and state. Exactly where she gets these snippets of information from is a mystery but her sources are usually highly reliable.
She was aware of the disappearance of Odessa Silverberg, long before information about her death was released. She was also aware of the hero's ascendency to leader of the Toran Liberation Army almost immediately after it happened. Knowing the Liberation Army to be short on people, she joined, naturally knowing exactly where Toran Castle was located. Sometimes asking for information and sometimes dispensing it, Onil continued to serve as a centre of rumours and information for the Liberation Army.
Following the end of the Gate Rune War, Onil merely continued her gossiping ways, her personality unchanged.
