Flare (フレア, Furea) is a supporting character in Suikoden IV and Suikoden Tactics. The Princess of Obel, Flare is a skilled warriors as well as a respected leader of her people.
Biography

Flare was the daughter of Lino En Kuldes and as such was Princess of the Kingdom of Obel. As a princess, her cheerful, friendly attitude led her to be beloved by the people. She was also an active leader, well able to take action herself, as shown by her patrols of Obel waters which she led personally, much to the worry of Desmond and Setsu.
It was during one of these patrols that Flare first encounter the hero and his companions. Shocked by the discovery of the Rune of Punishment on his hand, Flare had him brought to Obel immediately to meet her father. As she had lost her mother when still young, she had little memory of her and even less of her brother who was lost at sea. She still cherished her mother's music box, however, and would listen to it on occassion.
When Obel was occupied by the Kooluk Empire, she would help her father to escape the island but would remain on Obel herself, along with Setsu, in order to support the citizens there during the difficult period. Later during the Island Liberation War, following the liberation of Obel, she would join the crew of the Headquarters Ship.
Reunited with her father, the two would fight alongside each other for the remainder of the war. As a fearless leader in her own right, she didn't hesitate to carry out even the most dangerous of Elenor's plans. Following the foundation of the Island Nations Federation, Flare would resume her patrols of Obel's territorial waters, frightening any who would earn her wrath.
